About

Ready2PDF runs common PDF tasks in the browser. The server only sends the page.

What it is for

Combine files, pull out pages, turn images, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or HTML into PDF, and pull text or tables back out. You can also rotate, number, crop, watermark, sign, or black out text that must not remain.

Tools are grouped into arrange, convert, optimize, mark, and protect. Each tool page has the controls first and the steps and limits below.

Use it for what it really does

The browser does not include Word or PowerPoint’s layout engine. Conversions keep reading order, tables, and images. Complex text boxes, animation, and tight spacing are simplified. Old .doc and .ppt files need to be saved in the newer format first.

PDF archive copy rewrites the file so it is easier to open later. It is not a veraPDF-certified PDF/A.

A signature is a name or image drawn on the page so someone can see that you signed. It is not a certificate from a CA.

Redaction redraws the page as an image and paints black over the selected area, so the text underneath is gone. Compress levels “sharper”, “balanced”, and “smaller” also turn pages into images. To shrink the file and keep the text, choose “rewrite structure”.

Passwords use AES-256, and the page must be opened over HTTPS. Removing a password accepts only a password you already know. There is no guessing.

OCR downloads language data. A selectable Chinese text layer also downloads a font. Results are saved as PDF, Word, and TXT. Scans are not guaranteed character-perfect.
